I haven't posted in a while and just wanted to catch you all up on my life.
I have bought a new car!!! My first ever new car. It is a gray Saturn Sky and I LOVE it.
My divorce is almost final. ![[info]](http://l-stat.livejournal.com/img/userinfo.gif) wsjuggalette and I signed everything and now we are just waiting. The ironic but cool part of this is that our divorce will finalize on what would have been our 7th anniversary.
Work has been very slow lately. Not necessarily a bad thing, but I would prefer having projects to work on. Busy work only keeps you busy so long.
I will be heading to Las Vegas for my birthday!! It should be a lot of fun. There are a few friends from Canada coming out and a lot of other people will be in town for a mutual friends wedding.
All in all life is pretty good. I am looking forward to some possible over seas travel soon and meeting new people. |

Well I will be leaving in about 3 hours. I can't wait. Sitting here at work is killing me. I am really looking forward to this trip. I hope it will give me a chance to disconnect from work and life for a little bit and reset myself.
Life for me has been kinda crazy and I find myself struggling to find a path that makes me happy.
Work is just non stop. Travel here, fix this. Go home. Travel somewhere else, fix that. It would be ok if when I was home it was, well, home. But it just isn't yet. Soon hopefully.
I am hoping that Burning Man will give me a chance to relax, party and get my bearings. Maybe that's asking too much from one event, but at least there is no cell reception there so I don't have to worry about work calling me for an emergency...
PS. I seem to remember there being an internet kiosk on the playa. If that is the case I may write some posts about my experiences. |

There is more money being spent on breast implants and Viagra today than on Alzheimer's research. This means that by 2040, there should be a large elderly population with perky boobs and huge erections and absolutely no recollection of what to do with them. |

I just want to say that I had an awesome weekend! I got to see some friends that I NEVER see, catch up on there lives and talk about old times.
I was able to have dinner and see a movie with a very dear friend and find out what is new in her life.
I got share cigarettes, alcohol and conversation with someone I haven't talked to (really talked to)in like 2 years.
Did some shopping.
Went to a party.
Met some very cool new people.
All in all a great weekend.
Well now it's back to work..... |

Do you ever fell that you are working your life away...
Today I am dwelling on this thought.
I have worked very hard to get to a position in my life where I make enough money so I can do the things I have always wanted to do. Now I find myself in a good financial position, but I am working so hard I can't enjoy it.
Seems that it is a self perpetuating cycle.
Work hard, have money, no time to use it.
Slack off, have time to spend, but no money.
Ughhh |

So I am all moved out of Julie's and into my new room at a friends house. Kinda strange, I haven't had a roommate in a while. So far all is good. We have figured out who showers when and what each of us likes to watch, thankfully we have similar tastes. I am looking for to getting a full nights sleep. I am still getting used to my futon bed. Speaking of my bed... I bought this great purple, tie-dye, fuzzy comforter and pillow covers. Next to the high-heels and fishnets, it's probably the gayest thing I have ever bought.

So in the last week I have had the Flu so bad I couldn't get out of bed, worked FurryCon, played strip Texas Hold'em and enjoyed the company of a beautiful woman.
The Flu sucked so bad. If you haven't gotten a Flu shot this year I recommend one.
FurryCon was, well, furry. I still don't understand how someone rolls over one morning and decides "you know it would be so hot to dress up like a dog and fuck other people dressed like dogs". I don't think I will ever understand it. I do have to say that by far the FurryCon guests are the best behaved of all the cons. They also have the MOST drama. Thus the Drama Llama is born.
Strip Texas Hold'em - Interesting.
I spent a good amount of time this last weekend with someone that is fun, charming and very sexy. She has a way of making you feel very special and I enjoyed our time very much. Although I am not looking for a relationship ATM, I think I would like to spend a good amount of time with this one.
Life can be strange sometimes. Strange but fun. |

Well so far this year is already looking better. I have reunited with some old friends and met some great new people. The first week back to work after the New Year was quiet and I was able to catch up on a lot of things left over from 2005.
The first weekend of 2006 has been awesome. Hanging out with old friends and just having a good time. |

So a good friend told me that a journal might be interesting to me. I have never put much stock in them but I figured that I would give it a shot.
There have been a lot of things going on in my life lately.
My Wife and I are separating, my Grandfather died on Christmas and most of my immediate family has moved away. All things combined made 2005 a very bad year.
Well it is 2006 now and what better time to get a fresh start.
My hope and prediction is this is going to be a great year... now I just need to wait and see. |
